Community Service

The Arizona AEE prides itself on giving back to the community.  Over the years, it has provided the volunteer services of its members and sponsored energy efficiency projects to organizations in need.  Here is a summary of projects undertaken for the benefit of these organizations:

Housing Authority of Maricopa County 2007 500 CFL bulbs installed by members of Arizona Chapter of AEE at affordable homes in City of Surprise.

ASU/U of A Student Scholarships 2009 Energy Engineering Student scholarships
Valley of the Sun School & Habilatation Center 2009 Lighting retrofit of entire campus in North Phoenix
Gilbert Historical Museum 2009 Energy efficient lighting and weatherizaion funding for the museum.  Also provided an Energy Audit.  Support in conjunciton with Gilbert Leadership, Class XVII.
Gilbert Historical Museum 2009 Assist in funding of photovolatic system (partial funding).  Also part of Gilbert Leadership, Class XVII project.
Valley of the Sun School & Habilatation Center 2010 CFL retrofit for group housing
Payson Senior Center and Thrift Store 2009 Lighting retrofit of Senior Center and Thrift Store
The Wellness Community 2013 Energy Audit of the Wellness Center in Central Phoenix
Canyon State Academy 2012 Energy Audit of entire Campus
Canyon State Academy 2013 Purchase of a Heat Pump Water Heater
